Product Sustainability Specialist - Headphones & speakers
This is hands-on work at the intersection of engineering, data, and design, and it sits at the heart of where Marshall is headed.
Marshall Group is the audio, tech, and design powerhouse uniting musicians and music lovers through genre-breaking innovation. Our flagship brand, Marshall, is uniquely positioned with over 60 years of rock ‘n’ roll attitude on stage, at home, and on the go. Our iconic products are brought to life by a dedicated team of 800 passionate employees and sold in over 90 markets worldwide.
Right now, we need to strengthen our Design team in Stockholm with a Product Sustainability Specialist who will drive circularity and sustainability from the inside of our product development process, turning ambition into something tangible across our headphones and speakers portfolio. This is hands-on work at the intersection of engineering, data, and design, and it sits at the heart of where Marshall is headed. If you see sustainability as a genuine business opportunity and want to shape how an iconic brand builds products that last, this is the right role for you.
What you’ll do
You will work closely with the Product Sustainability Manager and collaborate daily across design, engineering, software, and product teams to embed circularity principles throughout the full product lifecycle, from early concept exploration through to launch. A core part of your responsibility will be owning the quality and structure of product sustainability data, collecting, maintaining, and continuously improving how we track materials, recycled content, and sustainability attributes across our systems. You will also assess sustainable materials and technologies, and contribute directly to product decisions around repairability, durability, and energy efficiency. Success looks like Marshall’s sustainability commitments showing up in the actual products we ship, not just in strategy documents.
Role & Responsibilities
Support the Product Sustainability Manager across the full product lifecycle for headphones and speakers, from early exploration through development to launch.
Collect, structure, and maintain product sustainability data including materials, recycled content, and contribute to sustainability reporting.
Explore and evaluate sustainable materials, components, and technologies relevant to future consumer electronics products.
Contribute to improving product durability, repairability, energy efficiency, and material choices by supporting circular design practices and activating guidelines across teams.
Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, and other stakeholders to ensure our sustainability claims are accurate, transparent, and credible externally.
Actively participate in internal and external sustainability forums, cross-industry networks, and knowledge-sharing activities to advance Marshall Group’s sustainability and circularity agenda.
Who we’re looking for
You are a structured, detail-oriented doer who knows how to get things moving in a complex, cross-functional context. You bring enough technical grounding and understanding of sustainability data to navigate product structures and engineering decisions, while also being the kind of person who builds genuine engagement across teams rather than just reporting findings upward. Collaboration is not a soft skill in this role; it is central to how the work gets done.
You probably have the following experiences & skills
A couple of years of experience in product sustainability, circularity, or engineering within consumer electronics or a similar technical environment.
Hands-on experience working with product-level sustainability data, including materials, components, and sustainability attributes, with a meticulous approach to data quality and structure.
Practical experience with sustainable product development, including areas such as repairability, responsible material knowledge, or lifecycle thinking.
A track record of working effectively across hardware, software, and design teams in a rapidly evolving organisation, with the ability to organise and present findings clearly to stakeholders; experience from automotive, white goods, or a mixed hardware/software environment is a strong advantage.
A solid grasp of product structures and engineering principles; a formal engineering background is a strong advantage.
Our Pledge
We strive to foster an inclusive workplace and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, disability, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age or marital status. We firmly believe that Marshall thrives when our employees do, leading to better experiences for our consumers.
