Senior Packaging Manager
Marshall Group is the audio, tech, and design powerhouse uniting musicians and music lovers through genre-breaking innovation. Our flagship brand, Marshall, is uniquely positioned with over 60 years of rock ‘n’ roll attitude on stage, at home, and on the go. Our iconic products are brought to life by a dedicated team of 800 passionate employees and sold in over 90 markets worldwide.
Right now, we need to strengthen our Packaging team in Stockholm with a Senior Packaging Manager who will balance team leadership with technical excellence in driving our packaging development forward. This is the right role for you if you have high expertise when it comes to paper packaging and enjoy the challenges that leadership offers.
What you’ll do
As Senior Packaging Manager, your role is twofold. You will act as a coach and team lead for a group of Packaging professionals to ensure that the operational standard remains high, while managing your own development projects from concept to first order.
Roles & Responsibilities
People Management: Lead a team of 4 packaging development managers in Stockholm, defining roles, managing performance, and everything else related to line management.
Project Ownership: Own the packaging development process for new products, securing functional solutions that meet or outperform our requirements.
Technical Leadership: Strengthen the technical competence of the group, particularly in construction and materials.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Quality teams, and external suppliers to ensure project progression and resolve quality issues.
Sustainability & Data: Lead sustainability initiatives within packaging and ensure all packaging data is accurately documented in our systems.
Who we’re looking for
We need a technically strong, people-oriented team player who can lead through uncertainty and change. You are a stable and mature leader who enjoys the administrative side of line management as much as the technical "art" of packaging. You should be a strong communicator, highly structured, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment where workloads can fluctuate.
You probably have the following experiences & skills
Education: University degree in Packaging Engineering, Product Development, or a relevant field.
Technical Expertise: Minimum 7 years of experience in technical packaging development, with a deep understanding of paper packaging.
Leadership: A proven track record as a people manager.
Systems & Tools: Proficiency in sketching, visualization, prototyping, and project management tools.
Sustainability: Practical experience working with sustainability initiatives within packaging.
Communication: Fluency in English and the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
