Right now, we need to strengthen our Software Quality team with a Test Automation Engineer who will focus on designing, developing and implementing automated test solutions and improve the quality and efficiency of software testing of the Marshall products
What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of test automation across mobile apps, firmware, and physical devices. A key part of this role is building the infrastructure and setting things up from the start, ensuring the team has the foundation needed for efficient and reliable testing. You will work closely with developers, QA, and firmware engineers to improve testability, foster a culture of quality, and enable smooth delivery across our product portfolio.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and firmware engineers to co-design and implement a test automation strategy across mobile apps, firmware, and physical devices.
- Set up the initial infrastructure and processes to enable efficient testing and automation from day one.
- Break down complex testing challenges into iterative, achievable steps that deliver value early and often.
- Build and maintain automation tools and frameworks that integrate with our GitHub-based CI/CD pipeline.
- Develop automated tests for mobile UI, device integration, and firmware validation, including OTA and stress testing scenarios.
- Help evolve the architecture of our apps and firmware to improve testability and automation readiness.
- Promote a shift-left quality mindset and foster a culture of shared ownership of testing and quality.
- Contribute to scaling automation across a diverse portfolio of devices
Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Test Automation engineer with a collaborative mindset to drive and develop our test automation efforts. To succeed in this role, you need to have a problem-solving approach, focused on being part of building quality products. You have an ability to handle complex workload and find solutions when challenges arise. We believe you have a great passion for new technologies and brings best practices in automated testing. You bring a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in working closely with others to improve how we build and test software
You probably have the following experiences & skills:
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience building test automation tools and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or Appium.
- Familiarity with mobile app testing and embedded systems, ideally including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
- Confidence with version control systems like Git and GitHub.
- Ability to work across disciplines and communicate effectively with developers, QA engineers, and firmware teams.
- Comfortable designing automation strategies that scale across diverse hardware and software environments.
Bonus if you have experience working with WiFi and/or Bluetooth-connected products.
